- Why did the main character, Darryl, choose to live his life as a “non-practicing homosexual” and as a Christian? How is it possible for him to synthesize those two terms into his identity?
- Is it morally right that the Air Force was discharging Darryl from the military because he revealed his sexual orientation? Does the gay activist group in the story view Darryl as a means to protest or change this Air Force policy? Why does the group treat Darryl the way it does?
- Throughout the story, Darryl recognizes that God has a plan for him as an individual. At the end of the story, has Darryl discovered his mission from God? If so, what do you think it might be?
